Being in Puerto Princesa, Palawan made my summer kick off a blast! So many feast for the eyes.
So informative. I'm definitely goin back!
Very clean, very safe, you can roam around in the streets even in the wee hours of the morning.
Just to prove, they have the IWAHIG community there. most convicts who are about to get paroled spent their leftsome sentence there, hoping staying there will speed up the process more. :)
There's a nightlife in the city but a tamed one. Just easy songs, reggae , r&b, which is good.. very laid back, different from my Metro Manila night life. You can really chat with your friends, you can hear their stories, no need to shout at each other, you can catch up with each other while enjoying your favorite drinks or having a not so quiet dinner.
I think I want to settle in this neighborhood, with BORACAY second on my list. :)) And of course Metro Manila on my third spot.

Kamay Ni Hesus.. worth the travel!
I have to blog this one even if im sooooo tired or else I could forget all about it. LOL
Just got home from Lucban , Quezon. We went to Kamay Ni Hesus. I really wanted my sister, Allen, to experience this trip. This will be a keepsake as she travels abroad.
Then I also invited, Tom, Joy, Andrew, Mico, Dave and Jane to go with us..
Then I also invited, Tom, Joy, Andrew, Mico, Dave and Jane to go with us..
Too bad, Dave and Jane plus Mico couldn't make it..
We boarded HM bus going to Sta. Cruz from Alabang Terminal ( near Hen Lin). I've read so many blogs and most of them its a much easier and less traffic route compared to Lucena Terminal route (via San Pablo).
After the bus almost 2 hours, we reached Sta. Cruz . The kind conductor unloaded us to the exact Jeepney terminal going to Lucban, Quezon.
After 1 hour , we arrived at the Lucban town proper. From there, we reached Kamay ni Hesus after 10 minutes. The jeepney's route was only up to the town proper but he delivered us up to Kamay ni Hesus church ( we just add 10 pesos to our normal Sta Cruz to Lucban fare).
At exactly 2:47, we're here at Kamay ni Hesus! finally!
There was a wedding mass going on so the caretakers told us we have wait for the mass to be finished before they allow visitors to climb up the mountain. We took this time to take some pictures... :))
There was a Noah's ark ( their office and retreat house), of course we maximize the whole place for taking pictures!
The we climb the hill, it was steep. Many people were also waiting for the mass to be finished.
Remember, to make a wish before you start on the first step. And visit the church first before you go up climbing. In our case it was the other way around, we visit the church after our climb since there was a wedding going on earlier.
Then up there, when you are on the top, don't forget to thank God for giving you the time and resources to be there.
It was worth the travel! Up in the top, you will find peace and serenity within even if there were other people present.
Its so refreshing up there, you will see the town of Lucban , be one with nature and most of all get to pray and make a wish to God . :)
After our climb, we went to pig out at Palaisdaan restaurant.. Loveettt! Its 30 minutes ride from the church.
At Palaisdaan, 1 order of rice is like 1 1/2 servings. And the viand is really good for sharing. Its best if you eat there with your friends or family because they have big servings. And thge price is friendly also, good for the budget and food is very very delish! Wanna go back :))
Here is the summary of our expenses.
1.Bus ( Alabang to Sta. Cruz) - 97.80 ( a/c bus)
11:15 am to 1:10 pm
2. Jeep from Sta. Cruz to Lucban - 45
1:20 pm to 2 : 39 pm
3. We added 10 pesos to Manong Jeepney driver because he accompanied us up to Kamay ni Hesus even though his route is only up to Lucban town proper.
2: 39 pm to 2:47 pm
4.Tricycle from Kamay ni Hesus going to Palaisdaan - 80 pesos ( 5 people)
6:03pm to 6:30 pm
Going home:
1. Jeep from Palaisdaan to Lucena Grand Central Terminal - 20
9:20 pm to 9:50 pm
2. Lucena Grand Central Terminal to Alabang - 147 ( ordinary) 180 ( aircon)
10:39 pm to 1:05 pm
Definitely will come back and recommend this place to everyone , if you want to soul search get away from the busy city life and find peace and be one with nature. :))
